Forming & Folding

We can undertake forming and folding of sheet metal components using our 3m 100ton Promecam brake press which is suited to all common angles as well as seams and creases. Forming including roll forming can be undertaken on both sheet and plate.

Typically applied to small laser cut items forming and folding can be carried out on mild steel to 20 mm thick, stainless steel to 15mm thick and aluminium up to 8mm with the limit set by the capacity of the laser cutting process. All of these material thicknesses can then be formed.

Our capacity is suited to the folding of laser cut profiles into brackets of various sizes. Utilising state of the art CNC technology and an automated back plate we can undertake multiple folds on single items quickly and accurately.

More advanced forms and folds can be offered such as curling, dimpling, and dutch folding as required using a variety of specialist tools as well as manual fly presses. Tooling can also be made up for presswork if required.
