Health & Safety

At DMS we operate a comprehensive Health and Safety program. This cover operator safety and general good practice on the shop floor ranging from the use of guards on machinery, extraction systems in welding bays through to the use of protective eye wear and designated walkway areas through the facility.

To compliment good practice our employees at all levels receive Health and Safety training ranging from machine use through to first aid. This training is often repeated periodically to keep staff refreshed and up to date with latest practice.

All staff are familiar with the DMS first aid policy, and several key staff members receive first aid training in the event of a requirement. First aid equipment including eye baths and bandages are placed about the facility for easy access.

Whilst our facility is small we carry out regular fire drills in the event of a fire or related emergency. Fire exits are all clearly marked and a range of extinguishers and blankets are placed around the building for ease of use.
