Laser Cutting

Precision laser cutting for sheet, plate and tube

When you need laser cut parts made accurately, reliably and without unnecessary delays, we can help.

DMS Laser Profiles provides sub-contract laser cutting services from our factory in Maidenhead, Berkshire. Since 2002, we have supported clients across the UK with laser cut components for fabrication, sheet metal work, architectural projects, furniture, lighting, automotive, film, media and general manufacturing.

We work with mild steel, stainless steel, aluminium and selected specialist metals, producing everything from one-off prototypes to repeat productio

Laser cut parts made to your specification

Good laser cutting starts before the machine is switched on. Our team can work from supplied drawings, DXF files, CAD data or early design ideas, helping you find the most practical route from concept to finished component.

We can produce accurate profiles from sheet, plate, tube and box section, with options for secondary operations where required. This makes it easier to keep your project moving without sending parts between multiple suppliers.

What we can support

We regularly provide laser cutting for:

  • Sheet and plate components
  • Tube and box section profiles
  • Brackets, panels, guards and frames
  • Fabrication-ready parts
  • Prototype components
  • Repeat production runs
  • Architectural and design-led metalwork
  • Components requiring folding, welding or finishing support

Precision laser cutting gives customers clean, accurate components without the delay and cost of dedicated tooling.

Sheet and plate laser cutting

Our laser cutting equipment allows us to profile a wide range of metals with clean, accurate results. We can cut steel plate up to 3 metres by 1.5 metres, with fine detail and repeatable accuracy for both simple and complex parts.

Material capacity includes:

  • Stainless steel up to 15mm
  • Mild steel up to 20mm
  • Aluminium up to 8mm

Because laser cutting does not require dedicated tooling, it is a cost-effective option for prototypes, small batches and larger production runs.

Tube and box section laser cutting

For tubular profiles and box section work, we use RotoLas tube cutting capability to produce accurate cuts, holes and profiles in pre-formed sections.

Tube cutting is useful when parts need to locate, slot together or reduce the amount of manual fabrication required later in the process. It can also help improve consistency across repeated assemblies.

Tube cutting capacity includes:

  • Tubes up to 3 metres in length
  • Diameters up to 370mm
  • Mild steel up to 12mm
  • Stainless steel up to 6mm
  • Aluminium up to 5mm

More than laser cutting

Many jobs need more than a flat laser cut profile. We can also support projects with CNC folding, CAD design, sheet metal work, welding, deburring, machining, rolling, finishing, inspection and testing.

Where fabrication or welding is required, we work closely with our sister company, DMS Stainless Fabrications, based in the same Maidenhead factory. This gives customers a more joined-up service when a project needs cutting, forming, welding and assembly.

Built around practical service

We know that drawings change, deadlines move and every project has its own pressures. Our role is to make the laser cutting stage as straightforward as possible.

We can advise on design concepts, material options and production methods before work begins. For suitable projects, we can also provide samples, support prototype work and supply documentation or testing to customer requirements.
