Our TruLaser 3030 currently operates with the Rotalas tube cutting attachment, allowing the company to alternate flexibly between working on flat sheet, and machining tubes and box section.
“The Rotolas chuck provides a quicker set up, and more precise machining for tubes.”
With the ability to process tubes up to 3 metres in length and 370mm in diameter, we have significantly increased our capacity to meet a number of customer needs. The 4kw TruLaser3030 is capable of cuttting the following thicknesses:
- Mild Steel up to 12mm thick
- Stainless Steel to a maximum of 6mm thick
- Aluminium up to 5mm thick
DMS are able to ensure exact positioning of tube using the RotoLas chuck, at an accuracy of ± 0.5 mm. This enables us to produce quality components from simple box section framework, to complex special purpose equipment. We use the latest versions of CAD/CAM software for simple control of the RotoLas unit, and the programming system helps in preparing complex 3D tube designs and working with rectangular box section. The RotoLas chuck provides a quicker set up, and more precise machining for tubes in short production runs, whilst the high content of laser programming allows for excellent accuracy during manufacture.
